Angel With Lute

There is a smiling angel,
watching o'er your way,
Who knows so, of your sorrows,
and every time you pray.
And she is ever vigilant,
and she is ever kind,
and she is ever speeding love,
and peace of mind.

And she will hold the hand away,
that seeks to cut you down,
And she will wash your tears on by,
and every heart and frown.
For she is the loving light,
that dwells within your soul,
That seeks to spread its guiding wings,
and never leave its toll.

So, smiling angel hiding there,
guarding this, the heart,
