The Lantern

A Lantern

The lantern glows brightly into this night,
And under night's cover beams forth its light,
Moving people onward, onward through flight,
Destiny's flight whether just, wrong, or right.

The creeping silence of a lonely spell,
Comforted only by a beam to tell,
To tell of the light which follows a dark,
Revealing the dawn, with one truth, one spark.
